The Beach House at Lovers Point is so romantic if you’re taking that special someone day or evening. Panoramic views, full bar and heated outdoor patio you will not be disappointed in this restaurant with an amazing California cuisine menu. We arrived at 6:30pm, let me just say words cannot describe how beautiful this restaurant is at every angle. They have plenty views from every table, with great service and food. You will put it on your list as the best place to dine. The Solarium is the outdoor patio which recently got an update. Solar panels to shade you from the sun and protect you from foggy weather. Take a look at some scrumptious photos from dinner.

Artist Spotlight Patricia Qualls #llblognotaconf

PatriciaQuallStudio_7_Lisbeth_Coiman_Gingerbreadwoman.jpg

Our final excursion, a 30 minute drive from our Hofsas House Hotel in Carmel, California to a place of wonder and discovery. It has been known that one can express anything through art and our host has done just that. In her formal day a stock broker then clinical psychologist Patricia Qualls always came back to her first love, art. She asked us each to find a painting that spoke to us and the one above was by far a cherry in my eye. It reminded me of a dancing ballerina in a pink and gold tutu.  A painting is worth a thousand words, as the saying goes and each one of great pieces of work gave a story that will live on a lifetime.

Day two of our llblognotaconf we start off with continental breakfast in the poolside meeting room with an amazing view. We were given our itinerary for the day, Carrie Thiess the owner shared the wonderful story of how Hofsas House is now celebrating 70 years. Read more here.

Hofsas House_4_Ana Lydia Monaco_Ana Lydia Monaco Blog
After the wonderful stories of Hofsas House, the next panel successful writing & partnerships workshop taught us a bit about asking the right public relations agencies for business. The best thing we could have done of our blog is take this sitting. Kelly had some pretty great insights on how you should have your pitch letters ready to send out your current travel dates to different pr companies you wish to work with in order to get great assignments. She also mentioned that when asking for the work that its stickily business. Dress the part, ask lots of questions. Be sure that the company you’re potentially working for be in a position to give you more work. Take great photo’s of the sponsoring property and if you need anything or have an issue address it with the head person in charge.  So many other tips were shared in the workshop that were valuable and it was a delight to be in the room. As our workshop came to a close, we headed out to a place called Carmel Belle for lunch.

Carmel Belle is a small cafe down the way that has light bits from sandwiches to salads and specialty drinks. The spread was really nice, the people were happy to be there and the love of food brought us all together.

Beachie Beauty Travels

Santa Monica Beach, California

I love California, its one of my favorites places. This first stop on my 7 wonders of California Love brings me to Santa Monica.  It is 3 miles long, covering 245 acres of sand along Santa Monica Bay. Early one morning I enjoyed the bike and walking path. During the day you can catch a chess game or picnic. Most of the inspiration for the post is dedicated to the Santa Monica Mountains.

For a fun activity visit the most famous attraction, Santa Monica Pier. Legend has it the pier produced 500 lbs Black Sea Bass that got away.

20151120_150138

Istrolled down to set up next to the lifeguard station for a little R&R. It was a relaxing afternoon. Right across the way, Annenberg’s Beach House just so happened to be in view. Did you know that its open to the public and you don’t have to be a member to enjoy the facility? It was by far the best beach discovery. Santa Monica has a host of hotels and restaurants. If you’re in the mood for a movie Arclight Cinemas has a great show or two to take you over the moon. This was just another Fall day in California.

P.S. Here is a snippet of Santa Monica Love the e-book.

Beach Waves….
I wanted to hear the sound of his voice. I kept telling myself go to the beach. Listen to the beach waves, as he whispers sweet sayings in my ear. Beachie Beauty, he would always call me, meet me at Santa Monica Beach for this tidal wave of love. I had only wanted to hear his voice, then I turn around to see him carrying a picnic basket of goodies. Can I join you? Sure only if I can give you a head rub. Me a head rub. Yes you, a head rub. He placed the basket near her phat thigh……. Excuse me is that a tattoo on your phat thigh. Why, yes. Yes it is. Thats funny it looks just like my companies logo….. To be continued

Check back for another snippet of love.

Enjoy your beachie fall. #beachiebeautyapproved
