Q. When did you know that plastic surgery was the right profession for you?
A. It was between architecture and surgery for me.  I realized in high school that I did not want to sit behind a desk and wanted to use my hands.  So I looked into orthopedic surgery but it was too cookie-cutter.  I changed gears to plastic surgery and it was the perfect blend of art and science.  Never looked back.
Q. Can you explain what a non-invasive facelift procedure is and the process?
A. The non-invasive  facelift is not the same for everyone.  We all age similarly but our genetics are different.  Some people have good skin and just need volume.  Some have volume but poor skin.  In general, the process involves botulinum toxin, fillers, a skin tightening procedure using radiofrequency  or ultrasound technology, and a skin resurfacing procedure with lasers or microneedling.
Q.  Otoplasty and Buccal pad removal are they popular procedures?
A. Otoplasty is very popular.  A lot of people don’t know about buccal fat pad removal but I do this procedure quite frequently.

Q.  Do you offer male makeovers? i.e. mommy makeover
A. Most males in my practice are coming in for fat reduction with Coolsculpting or liposuction.  I perform injectables on them frequently as well.

Q.  What kind of Muscular implants are used on men, if any?
A. Pectoral, chin, and calf implants are the most common.  More commonly, they are getting liposuction to etch out muscles and make them look more defined.

Q. What are the most common implants used for women?
A.Women are getting chin implants and breast implants.  Less and less are getting buttock implants and cheek implants …. more and more getting liposuction with fat transfer to the buttocks, called the brazilian butt lift.

Q. What is the Gynecomastia procedure, its recovery time and how soon can one return to normal activity post op?
A.The gynecomastia procedure involves liposuction and gland resection.  The outer  parts of the breast are fatty but the area just under the areola is fibrous and requires excision.  There is some soreness after the procedure like after a hard work-out.  A compression vest is worn for a few weeks to help decrease bruising and swelling.

Q. How long does the fat grafting procedure take?
A. The fat grafting procedure can take 2-6 hours depending on how much fat is being transferred.

Q. What is the recovery time for fat grafting?
A.There is soreness after fat grafting.  It can be mild to intense depending on the amount of fat that is transferred.
