HONORING AMERICA’S WARRIORS”

– Rebuilding America’s Warriors, (RAW), the organization which provides free reconstructive surgery to America’s wounded and disfigured in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, will hold a black tie, ballroom event on Feb. 20th, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Indian Wells, to honor Bryan Anderson, a triple amputee of the Iraq war, it was announced today by Maggie Lockridge RN, Founder & President of RAW.

Lockridge pointed out that Anderson, who lost both legs and his left hand in combat, still water skis, snow skis, rock climbs, and skateboards, among other physically challenging endeavors.  “Bryan Anderson is an incredible human being,” Lockridge said.  “He has managed to overcome his extreme physical challenges to enlighten and inspire other amputees.” She went on to say, “Bryan travels the country with USA Cares to give inspirational speeches to others facing adversity. He is also the author of  “NO Turning Back,” one man’s true story of courage, determination and hope, in the face of overwhelming odds.”

RAW was founded by Lockridge in 2007, and provides free reconstructive surgery to America’s wounded and disfigured Veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.  In 2014 alone, RAW provided over 400 reconstructive procedures to America’s wounded. RAW is comprised of 370 Board Certified Surgeons and dentists in 49 states. These honorable medical professionals lend their skill by removing shrapnel, revising artillery wounds, treating burn scars, restoring teeth damaged by war, all without charge.  RAW coordinates doctors, surgeons, and the facilities required to operate on our wounded Veterans, including operating rooms, anesthesia, medications, medical supplies, transportation and accommodations at no charge to our brave heroes.

Prior to the Gala on February 20th, wounded Veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars will be flown to Indian Wells from all areas of the country, free of charge, to attend the event.  Lt. General Earl Hailston, Commander of the Pacific Marine Corps in 2002-03, who led the Marine invasion into Iraq, a member of RAW’s Board of Directors will also be attending the festivities.

Entertainment will be provided by The Gatlin Brothers.  An auction will be held featuring a Special Edition, Willys Jeep Wrangler, wrapped with the Military insignias of all our armed services, including the Marines, Army, Air Force and Navy. All proceeds will go to the continuing support and medical needs of as many Veterans as possible.  RAW is a 501c3 Foundation.
